Yousuf Dawood-Mohamed

It is with profound sadness and the heaviest of hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dr. Yusuf ‘Joe’ Ahmed Dawood-Mohamed.

Born in South Africa on August 15, 1942, Joe passed away peacefully in Canada on April 12, 2026.

He was the beloved husband of his late wife, Yasmine, and a devoted father to Zane, Natasha (Chris), and Aneesa (Troy). A proud and loving Papa to Kaden, Sophia, Adam, Dean, Hannah, and Leena. He found his greatest joy in his family.

Joe was a steadfast protector who led with quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering love. Whether with his family or in his work as a physician, he devoted his life to caring for others, touching countless lives and always placing their needs before his own. He will also be remembered for his quick wit and his love of a good joke. He had a gift for bringing laughter into the lives of those around him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
