Theresa Ann Butts passed away peacefully in Scarborough, Ontario, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories.
Born on November 16, 1938, in Ottawa Brook on beautiful Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Theresa carried the warmth and strength of her Cape Breton roots with her throughout her life. She later settled in Ontario, where she built a life centered around family, kindness, and simple joys.
Theresa was the beloved mother of Billy (Jolanta), Charlene (Vassell), Adele (Kevin), Kevin (Andrea), Daniel (Christine), and David (Jo-Anne). She was a loving and proud nanny to Vanessa, Melissa, Rebecca, Aaron, Jordan, Jessica, Damien, Nathan, Adelynn, Sydney, and Danielle, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
Theresa is also survived by her dear sister, Catherine Campbell.
Theresa had a creative and gentle spirit. She was a wonderful crocheter and knitter, often crafting with care and patience for those she loved. She enjoyed the fun and fellowship of bingo and was known to be an avid and enthusiastic Skip-Bo player, always ready for a good game and a laugh around the table.
Theresa will be remembered for her warmth, her quiet strength, and the love she shared with her family, extended family, and friends. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Donations may be made in memory of Theresa to the Cardiac Care Unit at Scarborough Centenary.
