Shirley Burns

Shirley Evelyn Burns (nee Percival)
June 1, 1942 – January 28, 2026. 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Burns. 

Shirley was born and raised in Timmins, Ontario. She raised her family in Iroquois Falls and, after retirement, moved to St. Thomas, Ontario. 

Shirley passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing home in Lindsay, Ontario. 

Shirley married James Burns on June 3, 1961, and together they raised their 4 children, David (Terri) Burns, Shawn Burns, Katherine (Mark) Liznick & Jennifer Burns. Beloved Nana to Melissa, Cody, Kaylin, Sarah, Nick, Nigel, and Trevor, and many great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held for Shirley in the spring.
