Robert Michael Raymond Gerus

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert Gerus, who died at his home in Toronto, Ontario, on May 31st, 2026, at the age of 81. Robert was born on June 8th, 1944.

In his younger years, Robert was known for his wild and carefree spirit, a true adventurer at heart. He had a passion for women, motorcycles, cars, trucks, and the exhilaration of the open road. As he matured, his interests evolved, and he found joy with his friends, his various pets, in games, and in technology.

Robert was the son of Michael Gerus, who hailed from Brandon, Manitoba, and Helen Maruska, who immigrated to Canada from Ukraine at the age of 12.

He will be lovingly remembered by his extended family, his nieces and nephews, and by his three brothers, John, Michael, and Gary.

A celebration of life will be held in memory of Robert at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home located at 8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham, Ontario on Saturday, June 13th from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. All family and friends are welcome to come and pay their respects.
