Nicholas Zammit

Nicholas “Nick” Zammit ,68 of Ajax Ontario passed away peacefully in his room at Lakeridge Health Ajax on July 30 2026 after a lengthy illness . Born Dec.23 1957 in Toronto Ontario and is predeceased by his sister Linda Fiore and father Nick Zammit sr.

“Nick” is survived by his mother Patricia “Theresa “ Zammit , brother John Zammit ( Mary ), sister Cathy Zammit , nieces Tara , Amara , Krissy , Marisa , Stephanie and cousins Cindy Ditamasso , Dan Bodanis , Lisa , Paul and Wayne Bragg ,Micheal Desormeaux and aunt and uncle Bob and Donna Desormeaux . Nick worked for the city of Toronto street maintenance-staff for 30 years retiring in 2018 . No kids or pets Nick spent all his days trying to find true love but instead he had to settle for his all consuming life hobby of restoring old cars and trucks . Nick was in his element hosting his many Durham region Car Shows in conjunction with food bank organizers and community fund raisers . Nick will be dearly missed by his immediate family and the many Car enthusiast friends or second family that supported his events . “Truck on Nick”

A celebration of life will take place in Ajax this fall.
