In Loving Memory of Leonard Herriot Superville

November 6, 1943 – January 7, 2026

Leonard Herriot Superville passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Born on November 6, 1943, in Trinidad and Tobago, Leonard lived a life defined by resilience, curiosity, dedication, and deep love for his family.

At the age of 25, Leonard made the courageous decision to leave Trinidad in search of greater opportunities. His journey took him from Trinidad to St. Croix, then onward to Montreal, Miami, and finally to Ontario, where he made his home. Along the way, he built a life marked by hard work and perseverance, spending his career as a service engineer—a role that reflected his problem-solving nature and strong work ethic.

Leonard was a man of many passions. He was an avid lover of sports, with a special enthusiasm for cricket, horse racing, basketball, hockey, tennis, and track. Sports were not just entertainment for him; they were a source of joy, connection, and lively conversation. Above all his interests, however, was his pride and happiness in being a grandfather. His two grandchildren were a constant source of light in his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Leonard is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Lyla Cedeno Superville; his children, Leslie Kim Superville and Leonard Deryck Superville; his daughter-in-law, Nadia Superville; and his beloved grandchildren, Kaylen Superville and Seriah Superville. He was a steady presence, a provider, and a quiet source of strength whose love was shown through actions, dedication, and unwavering support.

In accordance with Leonard’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. Those who wish to honor his memory may do so through a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Leonard’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he loved so deeply, and the many memories that will forever be held close. He will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered.
