Larry Charles Felstead

d. February 3, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our dear brother and uncle, Larry Charles Felstead, on February 3rd, 2026.

Born deaf, Larry, known by all as “Beep” or “The Beeper” was one of 13 children born to Robert and Mary Felstead. His twelve sisters and brothers adored him and held him close at heart. He had an amazing sense of humour and loved to make everyone laugh. He was a gentle soul and a bright light in all of our lives.

Notwithstanding his special needs and despite living in a silent world he led a full life and made many friends. He was amazingly compassionate and had a great love of children and animals. He couldn’t bear to see anyone or anything suffer and was often brought to tears when relaying a story of a child or animal who had suffered or was suffering.

Though his family knew that he also suffered through many trials and tribulations himself each and every day, he never complained. As we all can attest to, he was a passionate fisherman and devoted sports fan, especially hockey.

Now, safe in the arms of Jesus and his beloved parents, his brother Norm, sister Dianne and brother Danny, he will finally have a voice and hear the angels sing.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to the Bob Rumball Foundation for the Deaf in Barrie, Ontario.

Beep, if love could have saved you, you would never have passed away.

Forever in our hearts!
