Karen Diane Marriott

Karen Diane Marriott, aged 82, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026. Born on July 19, 1943, Karen lived a vibrant life filled with adventure, creativity, and dedication.

Karen spent 27 years working as a skilled draftsperson for Ontario Hydro. Her precision at work matched her incredible talent at home, where she became an expert at wood carving, transforming raw wood into beautiful pieces of art.

An avid lover of the great outdoors, Karen was happiest canoeing, hunting, camping, and riding her mini bikes. Her passion for the water also led her to become an active, dedicated member of the Power Squadron. Known for her feisty spirit and a quick wit, she brought laughter and energy to every room she entered.

Karen shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, John Leonard Marriott. She leaves behind her loving sister Linda, brother-in-law Eric, cherished niece Erin, and step-niece and step-nephew Annemarie and Thomas Piscopo, as well as the Jamieson in-laws. Her sharp mind, independent spirit, and adventurous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 18, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Coldwater. Food and refreshments will be served as family and friends gather to share memories and honor Karen's remarkable journey. In honour of Karen's vibrant spirit, guests are fondly requested to wear bright colours. A memory box will be available at the service to share written stories, photographs, or special memories.
