With heavy hearts, we share that Justin passed away on February 5, 2026, at the age of 40, with family by his side. Justin brought so much light into our lives, and his memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who loved him.

Justin was a proud father to Jayden and Carter. He was a beloved brother to Jamie, Cory (Liz), Natalie, Amanda, Tara, and Libby (Juan-Pablo A.), and was predeceased by his sister Ashley. He is survived by his mother Karen, his father Taryn, and his stepmother Terry Hurst. Justin also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish his memory always.

Justin loved the outdoors; he loved camping, hiking, and climbing anything he could. He was talented with music and lived life fearlessly—never hesitating to jump and do flips off of anything.

In his final act of generosity, Justin was an organ donor, giving the gift of life to others through this tragedy.

A private ceremony will be held for the family to say goodbye. The date and location will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital or the Trillium Gift of Life Network.
