(August 1, 1958 – May 4, 2026)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gregory Delano Mather, who passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday, May 4, 2026.

Greg was the beloved father of Pamela Mather (Travis Goodyear) and a proud and devoted Grandpa to his cherished granddaughters, Peyton and Cali.

Born on August 1, 1958, Greg was the son of the late Roderick and Lorraine Mather. He was predeceased by his siblings Gloria (Dan), Glen (Nancy), Gordon, Garry (Jean), and Bradley. The family takes comfort in knowing he is now reunited with them.

Greg will be sadly missed by his siblings Gerry (Cathy) and Cindy, as well as by his many brother & sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. He will be remembered for his kindness and the important role he played as a son, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend to many.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 12, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Legion in Oshawa.

Snacks will be provided, and a cash bar will be available.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Greg’s memory.
