Catherine Ann Hanlon

Catherine Ann Hanlon (known to family and friends as Cathy) passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 72, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 28, 1953, and was a longtime resident of Newmarket, Ontario.

Catherine worked for many years at Southlake Regional Health Centre and valued the relationships she built with colleagues and friends throughout her life.

She is survived by her partner, Pat; her children Dennis (Teresa), Angie, and Nick; and her grandchildren Shauna, Chelsea, and Alyssa. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Elizabeth.

Catherine will be remembered for her warmth, friendliness, and the care she showed to her family and friends. She had a generous spirit and a way of making people feel welcome, and she leaves behind many who will miss her presence in their lives.

A Celebration of Life will be held later in 2026 (likely in the spring). Details will be shared at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Cathy’s memory may be made to any local food bank.
